i can't imagine living anywhere else but western washington, but i miss the southwest

i love the dry, heat and the blue skies there... it's such a different feeling.
i love the dry yellowed grass near the highways, and open skies.

i love the pine trees here, and all the trees, and seeing them everywhere, but nothing beats a single palm tree in the open sky.




i'm so happy that my mom, sister, grandma? and i are going down for two weeks in august to see my cousin graduate from car school.
i can't imagine living there, but it's definitely been too long.

every spring i get this longing for the south west.
we used to go every year as a kid. the last year was in 9th grade.

and this time i can drive! and probably will since my mom doesn't like too (and to be honest i'm a better/safer driver than she is anyhow)
